Saffia’s chapter “Dr Bucket in Bishkek” is featured in the anthology Call Me Okaasan: Adventures in Multicultural Mothering edited by Suzanne Kamata.
Call Me Okaasan won recognition at the 2009 Next Generation Indie Book Awards. It was named winner in the Parenting and Anthology categories and third place Grand Prize winner in the nonfiction category.
